Teacher Leader Model Standard Connections

With this project, there were so many of the Teacher Leader Model Standards that I had to utilize in order to be successful.  However two standards stand out.  During the course of the Five Days to Focused Cornell Notes project, I had to collaborate with several colleagues on my campus, at other campuses in the district, my AVID coach and district office personnel to help create the lessons.  This ensured that they were meaningful to a wide range of grade levels and I needed to use domain 1B: Models effective skills in listening, presenting ideas, leading discussions, clarifying, mediating, and identifying the needs of self and others in order to advance shared goals and professional learning.  I also used domain 4B: engages in reflective dialog with colleagues based on observation of instruction, student work, and assessment data and helps make connections to research-based effective practices by creating the document that showed how using Focused Cornell Notes Correlates to the Marzano Strategies, elements of Antonetti’s Engagement Cube and the College and Career Readiness Anchor Standards of the Common Core.
